Abstract
Recently, I have experienced a case of von Hippel-Lindau's disease. The patient was a 31 years old Korean man who visited our hospital because of visual disturbance on the left eyefor an year on 12th May, 1977. On the eye examination, visual acuity of left eye was light perception (incorrectable), 1.2 in the right eye, and normotensive in both eyes. The fundus revealed one angioma with large engorged and tortous vessels of the temporal retina, massive hemorrhages, scattered exudates along the engorged vessels, and retinal detachment of the lower retina. On general physical examination, no neurological signs were noted. The right carotid angiography, intravenous pyelography showed no abnormal findinp. Thus this case was presented~ and a brief review of literature has been described.
