Lamellar Keratopasty.

Abstract
The author performed a therapeutic lamellar keratoplasty on January 30, 1958, at 5th ROK Army Hospital, for a 24-year-old korean soldier who had persistent unnown corneal ulcer with neovascularization of the right eye during 5yrs months before operation, the ulcer had resisted to the conservative treatments. Donor cornea was a cadaver material removed 5 hours after death and preserved 19 hours at 4 degrees C, until the cornea was used. A 7 mm triphine, with the guard fixed at 0.6 mm in depth was used. Two months after operation the graft was well heald and was transparant with sligh haxiness except for some thick haziness at the lower pupilmargin to the limbus where it had been deeply ulcerated. the vision improved from perception of hand moving to 0.03 of Landolt chart. There was no evidenc of vascularization or ulceration after 5 month of ovservation.
